Come one! Come All! Welcome to the Sideshow!
Whether it’s an appropriation of a pop icon, a political figure, or a child’s story, I see my art (and me) as a reaction to the depersonalization of one’s identity in today’s society. I present an opportunity for my audience to fall down a rabbit hole as they step into my short-horror film that was part of a fuller installation that plays with camp, pop culture, and horror film tropes.
Bubbles the Guinea Pig is adapted from an essay I wrote several years ago. Creating this short film, made this moment, from my own story, became somewhat surreal - I realized just how out-of-body the experience was, when I was in the midst of it. In tapping into this personal experience, I take the viewer on a rollercoaster ride that puts them into the situation of finding themselves in a place and position they never dreamt possible.
A handful of years back, I created a self portrait of words I have been called for being gay. From that image, I was inspired to creat a short film why it is necessary for having #NationalComingOutDay.
Our intrepid detective is on the job to find out the mystery behind Miss Yoose.
Our world has been forever changed by Covid-19. There is not a single person that hasn’t been affected somehow by this global pandemic. Often times, many feel that they are just a number or the displacement in their daily routine it not recognized in the bigger picture portrayed in the news and on social media. Each of us has a story about what Covid-19 has done to our lives. My hope with Covid-19 Conversations is to create a short film/documentary that poses that question to some people so
